Philip Emmons, CPA
A fifth generation Montanan, Philip grew up on his family's ranch at Olive, Montana and attended
school in Broadus. He earned degrees in both Accounting and Business from Dickinson State
University and was also a member of the university track and cross country teams. Philip spent
several years with a large certified public accounting firm where he gained considerable
experience in business, individual, and trust taxation and earned the designation of Certified
Public Accountant. He also performed many audits and reviews for clients at that firm. At his
Miles City office, Philip serves a variety of clients including individuals, small business owners,
ranchers and farmers. He enjoys helping clients create comprehensive tax plans to both minimize
their taxes and help meet financial goals. Having a strong background in agriculture gives Philip
a unique perspective when serving farm and ranch clients. Farmers and ranchers benefit
because they are working with an advisor already familiar with many of the complexities of the
agriculture industry. Outside of the office, Philip enjoys helping out at his family’s ranch and
enjoying the outdoors. He resides in Miles City.
